The Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) has rejected the appeal of the Municipal Council in Varna (Municipal Council) against the order of Blagomir Kotsev, by which he appointed Pavel Popov as acting mayor.
We recall that the Municipal Council filed a private appeal with the Supreme Administrative Court against the decision by which the Varna Administrative Court dismissed the appeal of the Chairman of the Municipal Council Hristo Dimitrov against the order of the mayor on who should temporarily perform his functions.
In the appeal, Dimitrov claims that the mayor's order is null and void and unlawful.
The private appeal of the Municipal Council requests that the ruling of the Administrative Court in Varna be completely overturned and the case to be returned for consideration, and the Supreme Administrative Court to rule on the request to suspend the execution of the order.
