The emergency strengthening of the western bastion of the "Baba Vida" fortress in Vidin has been completed.
We recall that it was in serious condition and had begun to collapse. Strengthening activities began in October last year, bulnews.bg indicated.
The state allocated 213,000 leva for the renovation. However, it turns out that the Vidin municipality wants almost twice as much for the activities carried out. They justify their request with the fact that the craters turned out to be larger than initially expected.
Thus, for extraordinary activities that occurred during the implementation process, Tsvetan Tsenkov is asking the Ministry of Culture for another 160,000 leva.
Here the question arises whether if the fortress, which is the only one preserved in our country from the Middle Ages and is a cultural monument, had been maintained qualitatively by its owners in the Danube city, it would have come to this.
