The fires that flared up again yesterday in hard-to-reach places in Pirin have been extinguished, said the regional director of the fire service in Blagoevgrad, Commissioner Valentin Vassilev, for the Bulgarian National Radio.
According to him, today work will be done to completely extinguish the fires. Fire brigade teams, volunteers and forestry employees are on site. There were teams on duty all night.
At the moment, there is no need to use aircraft.
