This is a huge scourge of our time, but I am convinced that it will have a positive effect. This was stated to the media by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov after the opening of an information campaign against the use of vapes, laughing gas and designer drugs among adolescents.
„I am very grateful to the athletes and doctors, because there is no hospital that has not joined this campaign of the Child Protection Agency. "If we save one human life, we have done our job, but I believe that many more will be saved and many children will find their fulfillment in a normal and natural way," the minister added.
How many deaths need to occur and how many more children need to be permanently damaged for the rest of their lives for us to understand that designer drugs and vapes are extremely harmful. This is truly a pandemic. That is why I am convinced that there will be an effect, but it needs to reach more parents. This is something that depends on each of us, the government alone cannot handle it, Gutsanov appealed.
The Social Minister also informed that since the beginning of the year, a total of 1,239 reports of children at risk have been filed and added that the Child Protection Agency has taken action at least ten times so far, and only for cases involving vapes.
According to him, hundreds of thousands of children around the world have died as a result of using the modern designer drugs that are flooding our streets.
„There is no one who is not aware of what this is about, but I don't know why nothing is being done – "Do parents not understand, or can't we reach the children... But we will do everything possible so that this information reaches as many children as possible and they understand that this is not the way of life," he said.
The Minister of Social Affairs did not want to answer questions of a different nature, emphasizing that the topic of vaping is extremely important, as it concerns saving human lives and our future as a nation.
