The "Bobov Dol" TPP, which stopped working on Friday evening, is expected to start working again by the end of the day or tomorrow morning, writes BNR.
The plant has stopped working several times due to the low prices of electricity on the exchange at the time. Now, repairs are being made to a second unit, and the transformer that burned out about twenty days ago in another of the units is being restored.
The site where wagons with straw used for fuel caught fire is also being cleaned. After the fire was extinguished, the site was covered in ash, which is now being removed. This will be completed within days, at the latest by the end of the month. The repair of the second unit will continue until October, commented the executive director of the TPP, Eng. Chavdar Stoynev:
"Such a major repair has never been done with the replacement of all heating surfaces. It is expected to be operational from October, respectively, both the filters and all adjacent facilities".
