The state of emergency in the village of Skala has been lifted as of this afternoon
, the mayor of the Sungurlare municipality Dimitar Gavazov told BNR Burgas. It was introduced on August 8, due to the fire that initially broke out in the land of the village of Slivovo and then spread to the lands of the Sungurlar villages of Sinyo Kamene and Granitec.

The old fires have been extinguished since yesterday, however, 8 teams on duty from the Regional Service "Fire Safety and Population Protection" in Burgas remain on the ground.

„The burned area is about 21 thousand acres. The evacuated people returned to the village of Skala two days ago. They are calm, there is no longer any danger to the settlements. We cannot yet shake off the tension, the stress that we experienced, because the situation was very tense. There were very strong winds, the situation was constantly changing. This is a very large-scale fire, the likes of which have never occurred in the territory of the Sungurlare municipality.
