The woman next to the deceased Isa Ali speaks to bTV. The 61-year-old doctor is the victim of yesterday's accident in which a car crashed into a bus.
The woman said that she had been living with the Syrian for several years. They were also together on the fatal night.
After midnight, the doctor received a call asking for help and went out. The incident happened literally minutes after the Syrian got on the bus - the woman says.
Dr. Isa Ali came to our country about 40 years ago. He completed his higher education here. His relatives told him that he studied medicine, specifically gynecology.
“He translated, found accommodations for all the Syrians, helped in every way“, says the woman next to Ali.
On the fatal evening, the two of them are at home. They are having dinner. His phone rings with a request for help. “He said he had to go to the airport to meet some family“, the woman tells the doctor.
“He didn't have much work. He didn't have any financial resources, and lately we couldn't afford a taxi“, she adds. Their apartment is near the scene of the accident. And the tragedy happens shortly after the man gets on the bus.
The woman next to him finds out hours later - from relatives, and they find out from television. "I mentioned that he was gone all day. I saw a Syrian citizen - about 60 years old, and I said to myself that this is Isa," she shares.
I take it as an attack. Murder. Cruelty," adds the doctor's partner. She prefers not to show her face because she is afraid of the perpetrator.
