Over 200 speeding violations and driving in the emergency lane on the "Trakia" highway were detected by the police in Sliven during the last weekends.
Two cars were moving at speeds of 206 and 218 km/h with a limit of 140 km/h., reported the Sliven Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Two were found to be moving behind a special-mode official vehicle, using its speed to move faster.
Two other drivers were found to be driving continuously in the left lane when the right lane was free.
Acts were drawn up for the violators.
A total of 984 vehicles and 1,286 people were checked. The increased police presence on the highway, main and secondary roads in the Sliven region continues.
