At a special press conference in Pleven, MP from the "Vazrazhdane" party Ivelin Parvanov proposed specific actions after talks, in his words, with employees of the Water and Sanitation Department:
"What can we do now so that the people of Pleven do not suffer. We have met with employees from the Water and Sanitation Department who said that there are two quick solutions, one solution costs less than 30,000 leva, the wells that are near Dolni Dubnik. 15 pumps are needed there. According to experts' estimates, the costs of releasing and filtering the water, since there is a water supply from there, are under 30,000 leva, the Bulgarian National Radio suggested.
The other solution to the problem that was proposed to us is the water source that the company "Plama" has. There is also a water supply from there that is capable of supplying "Storgozia". It just needs to be released. It is a matter of negotiations as to who the owners are, who has the right to sell water, but I think that technically this can be resolved in a few days.
Pleven found itself in the situation where it is in the middle of water, but it is thirsty".
