Pre-trial proceedings are being conducted under the supervision of the Stara Zagora District Prosecutor's Office for the work accident in which a 53-year-old man was injured at the Arsenal weapons factory in Kazanlak. This was reported to BTA by its press center. The proceedings are for causing moderate bodily injury due to ignorance or negligent performance of an occupation or activity that represents a source of increased danger.

Around 11:30 a.m. today, a report was filed that a 53-year-old man who was driving a vehicle - an excavator - was injured in the yard of the Arsenal factory in Kazanlak, the prosecutor's office said. He was performing an activity in which the machine was pushing waste material from the factory's production to a designated storage location with a shovel.

According to initial data, a sudden ignition occurred during the work, as a result of which the excavator driver received burns to his body. A medical team arrived at the scene. The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment. An inspection of the scene was carried out and pre-trial proceedings were initiated, with witnesses to be questioned, expert examinations ordered, and others to be conducted.

Earlier today, in a position sent to BTA, the company denied media publications that the man died in an accident at the enterprise and indicated that the accident was not related to the production process.
