From September 1, the second phased increase in toll prices for vehicles over 3.5 tons comes into effect, the National Toll Administration reports.
Decree No. 20 of the Council of Ministers of March 31, 2025 provided for a change in the tariff for the fees collected for passing and using the republican road network.
The first increase came into effect on April 1, 2025, when the prices were updated by 10%. From September 1, a new increase with the same percentage follows. Thus, the total price increase reaches 20% within the two stages, in accordance with the government decision.
Example: if until April 1 a route card for a given section cost 10 leva, then from April 1 to August 31 the price was 11 leva, and from September 1 it will be 12 leva.
There are also changes in the amount of compensatory fees, which are set at twice the maximum toll fee for the respective category of vehicles.
The prices of vignettes for passenger cars remain unchanged.
