Starting next year: The state will publish the prices of 101 product groups every day

With the advent of 2026, the state will publish the prices of 101 product groups from the large consumer basket every day – essential food and medicines, Nova TV reports. Everyone will be able to compare them on the website kolkostruva.bg – from January 1 to August 8, when the period of dual price indication expires – both in leva and in euros.
Bread, eggs, milk and dairy products, various types of meat and sausages, oil and canned goods, fruits and vegetables, baby food and confectionery, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. As well as a number of medicines – including vaccines, cold and flu medications, and painkillers. The full list has already been published on the Consumer Protection Commission website.
Behind each of the 101 included goods are dozens of individual items – as retailers must report each brand from a given group. Retail chains with a turnover of over 10 million leva for the previous financial year are required to publish this daily information.
Every day between 7:00 and 12:00 noon, they will have to publish detailed information about each of their items, falling into all 101 groups of goods – on their own website and on the electronic portal of the Consumer Protection Commission. As for their obligation to the state, they will have to comply every day – including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
