An accident in three evaporation installations for drying wood at the site of the enterprise “Kronoshpan“ occurred last night, the press center of the Veliko Tarnovo municipality announced, BTA reported.
No fire occurred – the automatic fire alarm systems and equipment worked and the situation is under control.
Teams from the Regional Directorate “Fire Safety and Population Protection“ were immediately sent to the scene.
The deputy mayor of Veliko Tarnovo, Prof. Georgi Kamarashev, as well as the chief engineer of the municipality Dinko Kechev are also on site. There is no leakage of pollutants, nor any danger of subsequent fires, the fire department assured.
