Relatives and friends honored the memory of the motorcyclist Alexander Marinov who died in an accident, BNT reported.
The traffic accident occurred three months ago in Varna at the intersection of Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard and Pop Dimitar Street. The 25-year-old man lost his life after losing the right of way. He was hit by a female driver who made a U-turn maneuver in a prohibited place. A sign prohibiting U-turns has already been placed at the dangerous intersection.
“Cameras are to be installed at the intersection and these pegs, which never stop road violators, will be replaced with stone blocks. The goal is to prevent such deaths from happening again and to prevent other mothers from hearing from doctors that their children's vital signs are incompatible with life. It is very painful to lose your only child, and Alex was a valuable child," said Albena Dimitrova, mother of the deceased Alexander Marinov, with tears in her eyes.
Flowers were laid at the intersection where the accident occurred. Friends of the deceased man, as well as representatives of motorcycle clubs in Varna, held a peaceful procession through the streets of the city. Their goal is to keep the memory of Alexander alive and to draw attention to road safety.
“The peaceful procession is aimed at saving lives and stopping the war on the road,” said Alexander Varbanov, a friend of Alexander Marinov.
The relatives of the deceased motorcyclist insist that the driver who caused the serious accident receive an effective sentence.
