Slovenian Prime Minister to Marry 19-Year-Younger Former TV Presenter

The news was announced by the couple in a joint Instagram post

Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob will marry his partner of three years, Tina Gaber, on September 6, reported "Slovenian Times", quoted by BTA.

The news was announced by the couple in a joint Instagram post.

Rumors about the upcoming wedding emerged in mid-August, when Slovenian news portal 24ur learned that Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Janković, a close political ally of Golob, would attend the event. Jankovic himself confirmed the wedding news, saying he would marry the couple.

The Slovenian Prime Minister's office confirmed the wedding date to the Slovenian news agency STA, saying the ceremony would be private, without media coverage or the presence of foreign officials.

“No foreign officials will attend the event, as their presence would compromise its private nature and result in additional costs for the state...“, the ministry wrote, adding that the couple would cover all wedding expenses themselves.

According to unofficial information, 58-year-old Robert Golob and 39-year-old Tina Gaber will get married in Strunjan, a charming little village on the coast, reports "Slovenian Times".

This will be the second marriage for Golob, who separated from his wife more than a year before his relationship with Gaber to become public at the “Prešern“ award ceremony.

Tina Gaber is a former TV presenter, social media influencer and well-known animal rights activist. She has accompanied the Prime Minister of Slovenia to several official events, including the funeral of Pope Francis and the opening of the "Notre Dame" cathedral after its restoration.
