A planned repair will leave tens of thousands of Sofia residents without heat supply at the beginning of September.

Subscribers of “Toplofikatsiya Sofia“ will be without heat supply in the following neighborhoods:
residential district “Hristo Smirnenski“, residential district “Geo Milev“, residential district “Iztok“, residential district “Izgrev“, residential district “Dianabad“, residential district “Mladost 1, 1A, 2, 3, 4“, quarter “Musagenitsa“, quarter “Polygona“, quarter “Studentski Grad“, quarter “Vitosha“, quarter “Malinova Dolina“, residential area “Darvenitsa“, g.k. “Druzhba 1 and 2“, “Hladilnika“ quarter, part of “Lozenets“ quarter: in the square between “Filip Kutev“ St., “Simeonovsko Shose“ Blvd., “Stoyan Mihailovski“ St., “Arch. Heat supply will be suspended due to the scheduled repair of the „Sofia East“ district heating plant in the heat source and the heat transfer network.
The repair is part of the annual maintenance of the main and auxiliary facilities of the heating districts in the capital.
Depreciated fittings, compromised heat pipes will be replaced, and an inspection of the main and auxiliary facilities in the plant will be carried out, in order to ensure a trouble-free heating season 2025/2026.
