Ivaylo Mirchev on the plane with Von der Leyen: The authorities do not know what is happening in Bulgaria

Some time ago, there was a case of a small plane landing in the country, which later turned out to be Brendo

The question is whether there is a pilot in the plane. This was said in the show "Face to Face" on BTV by the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" and MP from "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev, after earlier today the mystery of the incident with the plane of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen became entangled. This time it happened after a publication by the Flightradar24 application. It reported that Von der Leyen's flight navigation in Bulgaria remained stable, with the flight duration increasing by less than 10 minutes. The head of the EC press service, who was on board the plane on Sunday, reported different information - that the plane had been circling over Plovdiv for an hour and a half. And Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov downplayed the incident, despite the fact that yesterday the press center of the Council of Ministers reported on a serious incident, probably caused by Russia.

The bigger problem is that first the Bulgarian authorities told them that Russia was involved. Then the Bulgarian authorities say that everything is fine and there should be no investigation. How can everything be fine, when there is interference in national security and in the security of the European Union? The fact is that since the war in Ukraine began, there has been a loss of GPS signal in various places. The question is, does the Bulgarian counterintelligence know what is even happening on our territory? We have asked a series of questions and are waiting for answers, said Mirchev.

It is strange and extremely worrying that the Bulgarian authorities say one thing to the European Commission the day before, and then something completely different. What is worrying is that it may turn out that the authorities do not know what is happening in the country. Some time ago, there was a case of a small plane landing in the country, which later turned out to be Brendo. The country continues to not know what is happening on the territory of Bulgaria itself. Obviously, we are not making enough efforts for our own security, obviously the National Security Agency and the services are not at the required level, he added.

A process of removing people from the National Security Agency has been underway for a long time. At the same time, work on Russian developments has been suspended. When there are certain concerns, it is clear that they are not working along Russian lines, such as countering Russian influence, propaganda, and financial flows entering Bulgaria. And there are enough experts in SANS. One of the reasons why nothing is being done is the upcoming deal with "Lukoil". There are interests that do not want to anger Russia and want to stand at the entrance and exit of the future refinery. This is worrying, because SANS's job is first and foremost to observe the Bulgarian national interest, and then to take into account different interests. The fact is that SANS has been inactive with regard to Russia for 3 years, emphasized Ivaylo Mirchev.

The MP also commented on the government's proposal for SANS chairman - the current acting chairman Denyo Denev.

It is good that SANS has a titular chairman, but Denev in particular is a compromised figure. The government cannot throw a candidacy at the president and he, as a village mayor, sign. SANS must undergo a total reform and remove people who serve different political interests. There should be a professional beginning there, which is currently lacking. Currently there is a political beginning there. For at least 2 years, the strings have been pulled by "DPS-New Beginning" in the National Security Agency, Mirchev pointed out.

In response to a question, he specified that "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" will submit a vote of no confidence against the government "for the conquered state". For the first time in this parliament, you will see well-written motives for a vote of no confidence, because the previous votes submitted by "Vazrazhdane" and "Velichy" cemented the current government. Currently, the institutions are truly captive, dependent on a specific political and oligarchic circle and do not allow Bulgaria to develop normally. The government is a facade for all these processes in the country. In the vote of no confidence, we will use many examples, many facts. Currently, the relationship between the prosecutor's office and the government is only one – the one who runs both the prosecutor's office and the government - the leader of "DPS-New" beginning. Finally, the ways in which the state is governed must be changed, commented the MP from "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria".

According to him, the return of the alleged smuggler Nikola Nikolov-Paskal to our country and his testimony against the chairman of "We Continue the Change" Asen Vassilev and former Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov do not create a problem in the coalition, but "they create a problem in Bulgarian society"

Society has suffered and these scenes and attempts at amateurism simply will not be tolerated. When there are doubts, we have always given ourselves immunity. Everything must be investigated, but I have the feeling that the prosecutor's office and the judicial system are focusing on opposition politicians, while people like Borisov and leaders of other parties are as clean as tears. This is worrying, Ivaylo Mirchev also said.
