Repairs have begun on the section where Siyana died

It will cover 6 km from the border with Lovech region to the Humata area before the village of Telish

Repairs have begun on the I-3 Byala - Botevgrad road in the section where the serious accident occurred on March 31, in which 12-year-old Siyana died. The repairs will cover 6 km from the border with Lovech region to the Humata area before the village of Telish. Vehicle traffic will be temporarily organized and will be carried out in one lane.

On Thursday, the passage through the road section will be suspended until 17:00. A detour route is through the villages of Rakita and Radomirtsi.

„In the area from Radomirtsi to the unfortunate section, we will repave from end to end. A large-scale patching will be undertaken to improve traction and characteristics”, explained the acting Director of the Public Transport Authority - Pleven Eng. Ventsislav Angelov.

„The repair is late, as well as the signs they put up. If they had been put up a week earlier, my child would be alive now. The fact that the repair is starting is good, because there were investigative actions and expert examinations had to be carried out. I hope it will be carried out qualitatively, and not like before”, commented Siyana's father - Nikolay Popov.
