The Commercial Register is fully ready for the accession to the eurozone, said Justice Minister Georgi Georgiev in Plovdiv during an information meeting, part of the National Information Campaign for the Introduction of the Euro in Bulgaria. The capital of tens of thousands of Bulgarian companies was written in levs, from now on it will be in euros, the minister indicated, quoted by BTA.

According to Georgiev, Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone means an opportunity for economic and price stability, and Plovdiv as an industrial face of Bulgaria has an exceptional benefit from this. The minister indicated that Bulgarian citizens will be protected by the currency with which 400 million citizens pay. When a foreign investor opens a factory in our country, it becomes a Bulgarian investor because it provides jobs for highly qualified Bulgarian citizens, which is a way to stop the brain drain from Bulgaria, said Georgiev.

As a main task for those in power during the period of the introduction of the euro, Georgiev pointed out preventing unscrupulous speculators from burdening Bulgarian citizens. "This does not mean that we will interfere in the market economy or regulate prices, but an adequate coordination and coordination mechanism between the National Revenue Agency, the Consumer Protection Commission and all relevant authorities, so as to monitor what is happening in the market, and to give a clear signal that no one would even think of inflating prices unreasonably beyond usual market practices," the minister emphasized. He added that the change in local regulations is important, which has already been done in some places, so that citizens and businesses know how they will pay the taxes and fees due.
