"September 6 is more than a historical date – it is a lesson in will, determination and love for the Motherland“, said the Chairman of the National Assembly of the BSP, the coalition „BSP - United Left“, and Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov in a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the Unification of Bulgaria.
He recalled that the strength of the national spirit does not depend on external circumstances, but on a clear cause, direction and people with a sense for the destinies of the people. „Unification is not just an act of the past – "It is proof that when Bulgarians put aside their personal interests and stand behind the common ideal, they can achieve great things," said Zafirov, quoted by the BSP press center.
According to him, the Unification places the country's fate in the hands of the Bulgarian people themselves.
"It is not for nothing that Vazov calls it the "September Revolution". Bulgaria is waking up, entering history with a bang and showing that it has the power to decide its own future," Zafirov also said.
"Let us recall this power more often. Today, more than ever, we need unity - to overcome the challenges of the new era and take our destiny into our own hands. I believe that this is possible. This power has never gone away. We just have to remember her." urged Atanas Zafirov.
