The Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniil called on the laity to live in the joy of today's holiday - Nativity of the Virgin Mary. Today he celebrates the Holy Liturgy in the capital's Nativity of the Virgin Mary church in the capital's Lagera district, BNT specifies.
"Today the Holy Orthodox Church sings "Your birth, O Mother of God, heralds joy to the whole universe." The Church sings this joy, which we see today, which is truly joy for the entire universe," said Patriarch Daniel.
"If we think about how we received this great joy, the answer is: Through great faith, patience, great trust in God, purity, prayer and charity. This is the way to assimilate joy and live in it today, because the Mother of God brought joy to the world. If this joy is missing in us, we must ask ourselves whether we have faith," said Patriarch Daniel.
