The fire season continues - there are usually about 150 fires per day, which is problematic because the vegetation is still dry.

This was told to the Bulgarian National Radio by the Director of the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" (GDPBZN), Chief Commissioner Alexander Dzhartov.

"We need to invest in prevention, because between 150 and 250 fires per day is extremely high. It is key to reduce the number of fires occurring. The climate is changing and this is an additional complication. The resources we need will be more and more. "That is why it is important to reduce the number of fires that occur," he specified and explained that due to the decrease in temperatures, fires are not developing with the intensity with which they developed during the hot summer months, but in windy conditions the situation is complicated.

Since the beginning of this fire-dangerous season, acts have been drawn up to establish an administrative violation against 40 perpetrators, he announced and commented that against the background of the number of fires, which is already more than 10 thousand, this is an extremely small number.

According to Chief Commissioner Dzhartov, the Fire Safety Directorate currently has sufficient resources.
