"133 million leva loss of Sofia District Heating Company for the first quarter of the year, right in the middle of the heating season, when it should be a printing press for money. Last year, Sofia District Heating Company had a profit of 65 million leva for the first quarter, which is typical for the first quarter of each year, since this is the heating season. I explain to myself that currently Sofia District Heating Company has losses because the most serious item that is falling, revenues are falling, this is from the subsidies that go into the "Security" fund of the energy system. This was explained to the Bulgarian National Radio by economist and former MP Vladislav Panev:
"You know that combined steam and electricity production is usually subsidized in this way, and last year this contribution to the "Security" Fund of Toplofikatsia "Sofia" was about 120 million leva more. It has decreased sharply since this year, since the new heating season with a decision by KEWR, of course".
"The state, represented by KEWR, continues to provide Kovachki's cronies with huge profits above stock market prices", the former MP added in an interview for the "12+3" program on the "Horizont" program:
"There we are talking about hundreds of millions at least per year".
