The Technical University in Sofia now has one of the most innovative and modern aulas in our country. The renovation is worth 400,000 leva. The amount was provided by the Bulgarian software company Amusnet. “This huge investment from our partners is proof that we are doing our job well. We also produce. We produce young specialists who can immediately start working in companies with such high requirements as Amusnet“, said Prof. Dr. Georgi Venkov, Rector of the Technical University, during the official opening ceremony of the auditorium.
Aula 2130, which now bears the name “Yakim Yakimov“ is one of the few large halls with a capacity of over 250 seats. “In these large halls of the Technical University, first-year students meet their professors for the first time, as it is today. This is the first feeling that young first-year students become part of the academic community of the Technical University. Again, due to the large scale of the hall, it and similar halls on the territory of the university host official graduation ceremonies and successful completion of bachelor's and master's degrees. Thus, a closed cycle is created - from the first lecture to receiving a higher education diploma. After that, companies such as Amusnet use our successfully graduated students, added Prof. Venkov.
„In renovating the hall, we have not only made efforts and made a considerable investment to improve the environment in which students are educated. For us, the most important thing is that business and the university manage to create conditions together that encourage the development of young talents in Bulgaria“, said Ivo Georgiev CEO Amusnet.
Nowadays, technologies are developing at an extraordinary speed and students are behind this, because they are awake, motivated, with a thirst for development. "We are trying to focus on starting various training programs in the company, which will then help you smoothly transition to your practical direction, namely the development of various academies from the company," said Boyana Petkova from the company that provided the money for the renovation of the aula.
The official opening ceremony of the renovated aula ended with the signing of a memorandum between the higher education institution and the software company.
