His new home is the royal estate of Sandringham

King Charles III's brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (previously known as Prince Andrew) will move from Windsor to the royal estate of Sandringham. Andrew's stay is expected to be paid for from the king's personal funds, with no contribution from taxpayers, the BBC reported.

Andrew is moving approximately 140 miles (225 km) northeast of his Windsor estate - away from King Charles III and Queen Camilla, who live in London, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, who reside in Windsor.

A formal notice to terminate the lease on the Royal Lodge at Windsor, where the former prince lived, was served on Thursday.

At the same time, the king stripped Andrew of his princely title, along with his other remaining titles and honors, and asked him to vacate his Windsor estate due to new details about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

As royal biographer Robert Hardman told the BBC, many had previously assumed that Andrew will simply change the house on the Windsor estate - for example, he will move to Frogmore Cottage.

„But no, he is leaving this territory, he is leaving Windsor, he is leaving royal Berkshire - he is practically exiled along the M11 motorway to the royal equivalent of Siberia to spend the rest of his life in Sandringham“, noted Hardman.
