Today, Borovets officially opens the winter season with a rich festive event, which will also mark the beginning of the anniversary celebrations on the occasion of 130 years since the establishment of the first mountain resort in Bulgaria and the Balkans. Regardless of the weather conditions, the celebration will take place as planned, with the program prepared to offer a pleasant, safe and fulfilling experience for all visitors.
„This year, the opening of the season is more special, because with it we mark the beginning of the anniversary celebrations for 130 years since the founding of Borovets. This is an occasion not only for celebration, but also for taking stock and a vision for the future“, shared the new executive director of Borosport AD - Ivo Tsvetkov.
The Mayor of Samokov Municipality Eng. Angel Dzhorgov also emphasized the importance of long-term projects for Borovets and the region and explained: “We managed to obtain the copyrights on the conceptual design for a new center of Borovets, or the so-called “Golden Triangle“. This will allow us to take real action to develop a technical project.“
