The status of a number of properties in large Bulgarian cities has been changed

Properties were received by the municipalities of Veliko Tarnovo and Blagoevgrad, as well as the State Agency for Refugees

The Council of Ministers adopted a decision to declare a property as public state property, a property as private state property, and for its gratuitous transfer into the ownership of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, Veliko Tarnovo District. The subject of the act of the Council of Ministers is a property located in the Veliko Tarnovo District, Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, the city of Veliko Tarnovo, the “Kartala“ area, representing an undeveloped land property. The same is transferred gratuitously into the ownership of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo for the construction of a new municipal infrastructure - a street, in compliance with the legislation and rules in the field of state aid and in compliance with the requirements of the Cultural Heritage Act and the Agricultural Land Protection Act. If the planned activities are not implemented within 5 years of the acquisition of the property, the municipality is obliged to transfer ownership of it to the state.

The Government adopted a Decision on the gratuitous provision of property management - public state property, to the State Agency for Refugees. The properties are located in the town of Sredets, Burgas region and the town of Simeonovgrad, Haskovo region. The gratuitous provision of the properties will provide land for the construction of closed-type centers for the accommodation of persons seeking international protection.

The Cabinet declares ten buildings in the Southern Industrial Zone in the city of Varna, which have lost their characteristics of property - public state property, to property - private state property. The buildings are managed by the Varna Maritime High School “St. Nicholas the Wonderworker“, but are not in good condition and cannot continue to be used for educational purposes. No additional funds from the state budget will be needed to change their status.

By a government decision, Blagoevgrad Municipality receives a property - private state property in the city of Blagoevgrad. It is a land plot with an area of 60,036 sq. m, together with the buildings built on it. The property will be used to build a city park with adjacent infrastructure, including green areas with park furniture, alleys, gazebos, playgrounds, places for cultural events and areas with built facilities for outdoor and indoor sports. According to the Integrated Development Plan of Blagoevgrad Municipality for the period 2021-2027, the main priority in the municipality's activities is the renovation of the existing and the construction of new infrastructure for the development of professional and amateur sports, providing an accessible environment for people in disadvantaged situations, renovation and modernization of the infrastructure for implementing youth activities and creative development. If the city park and its infrastructure are not implemented within 5 years of acquiring the property, the Municipality of Blagoevgrad will have to transfer it to the state.

The Council of Ministers adopted a Decision to grant consent to reduce the capital of the “University Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment in Orthopedics “Prof. Boycho Boychev““ EAD, declaring properties as private state property and making them as a non-monetary contribution to the capital of “Health Investment Company for Children's Hospital“ EAD (ZIKDB). The property is located next to the current property of ZIKDB. This Decision aims to improve transport connectivity and unify the hospital's activities into a single complex. In addition, a reserve is being created for the future development of outsourced non-medical activities and the implementation of social benefits, such as the construction of a kindergarten.
