To preserve or demolish the building of the former party house in the center of Plovdiv? The question is back on the agenda after the municipal councilors discussed the renovation of the building at their last meeting. Ultimately, the municipality announced a contract for design, author's supervision and construction and installation work to introduce energy efficiency measures to the former Party House.
However, the citizens of Plovdiv are of the opinion that the building should go into the past and in its place a magnificent view of the Rhodope Mountains should be revealed.
When discussing the fate of the building, there were also proposals that it become the home of the Plovdiv Opera. However, this is difficult to implement, as access to it with large vehicles is very difficult, and there is also a lack of sufficient parking spaces.
