In Moscow, rents for luxury apartments reached 44,000 euros per month

The average area of the most expensive apartments is 270 square meters

Renting luxury housing in Moscow reached 4 million rubles per month (44,000 EUR), while a year ago the maximum price was 3 million rubles (33,000 EUR) per month. At the same time, options cheaper than 1 million rubles (11,000 EUR) per month have disappeared from the hundred most expensive apartments in the capital, analysts from the Intermark Arenda agency told TASS.

„Over the year, average prices in the hundred most expensive apartments for rent in the capital grew by 12%, reaching an average rate of 1,580,400 rubles (17,000 EUR) per month. For the first time, apartment options from the 100 most expensive apartments with prices of 1 million rubles (33,000 EUR) have disappeared. The most expensive apartment for rent in Moscow is rented for 4 million rubles (44,000 EUR) per month“, the agency reported.

For the said amount per month, you can rent a penthouse with terraces in a building in a closed area in Zamoskvorechye. In 2024, based on the results of the first half of the year, the maximum price of renting a home in Moscow was estimated at 3 million rubles (33,000 EUR) per month. The average area of the most expensive apartments for rent has not changed over the year and is 270 sq m.

According to the study, the supply of the top 100 most expensive apartments in Moscow has increased by 54% over the past year. Most of the apartments in the ranking are located in the Arbat-Kropotkinskaya (32%), Frunzenskaya (14%) and Krasnopresnenskaya (10%) districts. The most expensive area for rent remains Khamovniki, and half of the apartments in the top ten are located in the Arbat-Kropotkinskaya district. Average budgets here start at 2.5 million rubles (27,500 EUR) per month.

The majority of tenants of apartments in the top 100 are Muscovites, followed by residents of St. Petersburg, with a small number of foreigners. “If we talk about the demand for elite apartments from the TOP 100 by immigrants from foreign countries, then these are properties that are rented by senior diplomatic personnel. For the most part, today such apartments are of interest to representatives of Arab countries“, said Elena Kulikova, CEO of Intermark Arenda.
