The Government has granted the State Aviation Operator the management of a property - public state property on the territory of the “Airport Complex - Sofia“ free of charge. It is part of the “VIP Terminal“.
By Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 493 of 20.07.2023, the terrain managed by the State Aviation Operator was transferred to the Ministry of Health for the construction of a helipad for the needs of emergency medical assistance by air. After a registration procedure was launched, the Directorate General of the “Civil Aviation Administration“ expressed an opinion that the specified property does not meet the requirements for a helipad. Therefore, the property is no longer needed by the Ministry of Health and is again provided for management by the DAO.
