The Court of Appeal in Plovdiv starts in the second instance the case for the murder of 24-year-old Dimitar Malinov from Tsalapitsa.
At the hearing today, the prosecution will protest the sentence of 15 years in prison under the initial strict regime of Bizuryev and demand a harsher punishment. The court found him guilty of premeditated murder, but dropped the charge of committing it with particular cruelty. Bizuryev's defense appealed the punishment and demanded a lighter sentence.
The relatives of Dimitar Malinov, for their part, demand a life sentence. Dimitar Malinov was killed on July 20, 2023, and his body was found a week later in a landfill near Tsalapitsa.
