Ivaylo Kalushev is being sought for the "Petrokhan" case, but I cannot say how far the search has gone. This was said by the acting chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov in Batanovtsi, Pernik municipality. He compared the case to the mysterious psychological thriller series with elements of horror and drama "Twin Peaks".
"We do not rule out that he is also not among the living. He sent a message to his mother with the conclusion that he himself tried to take his own life", said Sarafov.
"I have been working in this job mainly in criminal cases – investigator and prosecutor – for 31 years, I have seen a lot of things, but what I see now definitely shocks me", he pointed out.
„I am twice as shocked by the activity, not only the murder, but the activity of this non-governmental organization, which seems to have tried to seize the activity of authorized, state institutions, to carry out its own policy and actions. Apart from this, the activity of this non-governmental organization cannot in any way be said to be God-pleasing, that it is in the interest of the state and the children – "You read between the lines what I mean by that," he also pointed out.
According to him, the activities of this organization should be fully verified with regard to the children who went there to camps and were provided by their parents.
“Although there have been inspections of this organization by the National Security Agency for two years, in fact, this is precisely what hinders the collection of information and evidence - the unwillingness of the parents of these children to cooperate. The complete refusal to cooperate and the sabotage of the investigation by the parents of the children who were there. This is shocking to me. I am shocked. I did not know that such things existed, but unfortunately sometimes life offers more striking circumstances than even in the series “Twin Peaks“. "We are facing a real “Twin Peaks“, which we have yet to unravel, because there are many unknowns, Sarafov also said.
Ivaylo Kalushev is the owner of the "horror lodge" and has no connection to it.
Sarafov commented on the message that Ivaylo Kalushev sent to his mother: "The text message contains things from which one can draw the conclusion that he intends to take his own life. Whether he is alive, where he is - this is a lot of work that is ahead".
Borislav Sarafov pointed out that forensic ballistics examinations are being prepared on the shooting, the weapon used, why the men were there, who set the house on fire and why. There are many unknowns and a lot of work ahead, the prosecutor said. The activities of this organization must be fully investigated, added Sarafov.
