The Montana District Prosecutor's Office is investigating a case of fornication against two minors aged 7 and 8. According to the investigation, the crime was committed on January 31, 2026 in Lom by a 53-year-old man, who has already been brought in as a defendant.
Evidence has been collected, including witness interviews, an inspection of the crime scene and biological material. According to the prosecutor's office, there is a reasonable assumption of the authorship of the act, for which the law provides for imprisonment from 1 to 6 years.
The accused has been convicted before. Due to the high public danger and the risk of committing a new crime, the prosecutor's office requested a measure of “detention in custody“. However, the court imposed a lighter measure – “subscription“, which will be appealed.
The investigation continues, and information about possible attacks against other individuals is also being checked.
