The Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Interior are expected to provide more information after the discovery of the smuggling channel. The case became clear on Saturday.
During an inspection by the Bulgarian Food and Drug Administration (BFSA), three places were identified in Ihtiman where the meat was sliced, cut and prepared for distribution in our country. Part of it, for which there are no documents, has probably already reached the domestic market. In recent days, several trucks with small cattle have been detained, which are currently on the Romanian border.
The acting Minister of Agriculture Ivan Hristanov stated that this is a large-scale channel that has been operating for at least a year.
