A 54-year-old man died after being beaten while trying to protect his daughter in Razgrad, BNT reported.
The perpetrator - a 32-year-old criminal with multiple convictions from the village of Ostrovo in the Zavet region - has been detained at the District Office in Kubrat. This was reported by the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Razgrad.
According to initial data, the incident occurred at the victim's home shortly after 10:30 p.m. last night, where the perpetrator entered to harass a 27-year-old woman. Her father tried to intervene, but the man attacked him with fists and kicks. Although an emergency team arrived at the scene, the 54-year-old man died.
The 32-year-old perpetrator was arrested, and his alcohol test showed 2.01 per mille. The district prosecutor on duty was notified. An investigation has been launched into the case. He is to be remanded in custody before the District Court - Razgrad.
