Officers of the criminal police in Burgas discovered illegally stored ammunition during a search of a private property near the “Banevo” neighborhood, BNT specified.
The operation was carried out on April 1 in the “Ostritsa-2“ area, where a total of over 270 ammunition of various calibers were found and seized in a home inhabited by a 54-year-old Russian citizen with permanent residence in Bulgaria.
Among the items found were 192 9 mm caliber cartridges, 20 22 caliber cartridges and 64 12 caliber cartridges, as well as an air rifle with optics.
The man was detained for up to 24 hours, and a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the case. The investigation continues.
