A 24-year-old man was detained for buying votes in Razgrad. This happened during an operation by police officers from the District Office in Kubrat. In his home, uniformed officers found over 14,000 euros. This was announced by the police in Razgrad.
According to initial information, the funds were intended for people who would vote for a certain political party in the upcoming elections.
During the search, more lists with people's names were found and seized, 98 counterfeit banknotes with a face value of 100 euros, 4,415 euros in various banknotes and 4,115 Turkish liras.
A prosecutor on duty has been notified of the case and pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. The 24-year-old man was detained for 24 hours at the Kubrat Police Station.
