A mass fight between two feuding Roma families in Haskovo. Seven people were detained, and two men and an elderly woman were injured.
The scandal took place in front of block 42 in the “Orpheus“ neighborhood. There had been a long-standing feud between the families, including a number of previous fights and even a car crash in front of the apartment building.
The owner of the wrecked car, Sevcan Mehmedali, told NOVA that the Roma family that caused the scandal had taken up residence in an uninhabited house nearby and was causing problems not only for her and her family, but also for the entire apartment building.
“They were conflicted, did not work, made a living by stealing and repeatedly fought with our relatives and neighbors“, Mehmedali said. She added that the history between the two families also included a serious criminal offense – a woman from the other family had previously stabbed and killed her uncle.
