Money and lists of names were found in the car of a candidate for MP. This was announced on his Facebook page by Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior Georgi Kandev.
"During a routine check by colleagues from Veliko Tarnovo today, a car was stopped. The driver turned out to be a candidate for MP. His companion was a man repeatedly convicted of theft", Kandev explains. According to NOVA, the arrested candidate-MP is from a small village in the Zlataritsa municipality.
A sum of 10 and 20 euros was found in the armrest of the car, as well as lists of names.
The candidate for MP did not cooperate with the law enforcement agencies.
The case was reported to the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, because the man has immunity and cannot be detained by the Ministry of Interior by law.
