A 58-year-old recidivist was arrested for buying votes in the village of Virove, Montana municipality, the police announced.
On April 20, it was established that on election day he promised benefits to people from the village to vote in favor of a certain political force.
Four residents of the village were found who exercised their voting rights in favor of a certain political party in exchange for a promise to be paid 40 euros each after the end of election day.
On the evening of April 19, between the 58-year-old and the 34-year-old - one of the people who were promised 40 euros, a physical altercation ensued.
As a result of the beating, the younger man suffered a cut on his arm, and the older man suffered brain swelling.
The latter was hospitalized in critical condition. The 34-year-old man was arrested.
