A man from Plovdiv has been detained for a false report on the 112 telephone that a problem was expected on board a plane from Sofia to London, BNR learned.
Because of the report, the plane was diverted from Czech airspace and escorted by German fighter jets.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the case.
The man's motives are being clarified.
