Bulgarian singer Iliya Lukov will perform a concert in Taraklia on the occasion of the Day of the Bessarabian Bulgarians – October 29, BTA reported.
The concert is part of a series of events organized thanks to the partnership between the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency and Iliya Lukov, concluded at the beginning of the year.
Within the framework of this cooperation, the singer will participate in concerts dedicated to the holiday of the Bessarabian Bulgarians, in Moldova and Ukraine, in settlements with Bulgarian communities. BTA's initiative aims to promote the culture, language and unity of Bulgarians around the world through the Agency's national press clubs in Odessa and Taraclia.
The events will also be attended by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev.
The celebration in Taraclia will be the culmination of the festive program organized by the Regional Council and will take place in the large hall of the House of Culture “Stepan Tanov“. Bessarabian talents will also appear on stage with Lukov, the Taraklia Regional Council reports.
The festive day will begin with a flower-laying ceremony in front of the monument to the patron saint of Bessarabian Bulgarians Ivan Inzov, followed by the official opening of the International Children's Festival of Bulgarian Folk Music “BESARAB FOLK“, which will kick off the festive events.
The program includes visits to the Museum of the City of Taraklia, the Picture Gallery of the artist Dimitar Peychev, the church “St. George the Victorious“ and a Bulgarian national costume studio, where a fashion show with handmade costumes will be held.
The Taraklia District Council invites all residents and guests of the region to join the celebrations and share the spirit, traditions and pride of the Bulgarian community in Bessarabia.
