British actor John Nolan, who starred in his nephew Christopher Nolan's films, has died at the age of 87, the Stratford-upon-Avon Herald reports.
According to the newspaper, the actor died on Saturday, April 11. The exact cause of death has not been specified.
John Nolan was born on May 22, 1938 in London. He is the uncle of director Christopher Nolan and screenwriter Jonathan Nolan.
The actor played Douglas Frederick in “Batman: The Beginning“. He also appeared in “The Dark Knight Rises“, “The Next One“, “Dunkirk“, as well as in the television series “Undercover“ (John Greer) and “Dune“.
In 1975, Nolan married British actress Kim Hartman. The couple has two children.
