Lou Gramm Returns to Foreigner! Band Reissues Album 4 and Heads on 50th Anniversary Tour

Tour Kicks Off December 3rd at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their career by reissuing their iconic 1981 album “4“.

The band is also embarking on a tour that promises to rock venues across America. Released on September 12th, Foreigner 4 Deluxe is a stunning archive of rock history that takes fans inside the creative core of some of the genre's most enduring artists. A deluxe collection fit for rock royalty.

Foreigner 4 Deluxe, released via Rhino, is available in multiple formats, including black vinyl, a five-disc CD/Blu-ray set, and digital bundles.

The release features a freshly remastered stereo mix, immersive Dolby Atmos audio, over 60 rare and never-before-seen photographs, and a treasure trove of previously unreleased content: five songs, 14 alternate versions, 15 instrumentals, and 15 live performances from the band's 1981-82 tour.

For rock historians and audiophiles, this is the definitive time capsule of Foreigner's explosive rise to the heavy rock era.

The tracklist includes classics like Juke Box Hero, Urgent, and Waiting For A Girl Like You, delivered with both studio brilliance and raw live energy. The Blu-ray even offers a full Atmos experience for a truly immersive immersion into the band's sound, putting fans right in the eye of the rock 'n' roll storm.

Perhaps the most exciting news for longtime fans is the return of original vocalist Lou Gramm, who will join the band for select performances on the Foreigner 4 Deluxe tour. Gramm, whose voice helped define not only the band's biggest hits but an entire era of hard rock, reunites with the band for a touching moment nearly 45 years after the recording of 4.

“Lou was an integral part of the writing and recording of "4" and his presence will add a historic dimension to our upcoming tour“, said new frontman Luis Maldonado, who will take over lead vocals for the first time in the U.S. since Kelly Hansen's farewell performance on the season finale of The Voice.

The tour kicks off on December 3 at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York, and includes stops in Staten Island, Bethlehem, Wallingford, Montclair and Williamsport, plus other locations.

Originally released in July 1981, the album “4“ remains one of Foreigner's most commercially successful and critically acclaimed works, spending more weeks at number one on the Billboard charts than any other album in Atlantic Records history, including giants like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC.

With over 10 million copies sold worldwide, the album is certified 6x platinum in the US alone.

This reissue marks not only a tribute to that legacy, but also a resurgence of Foreigner's place in today's heavy rock landscape.

Guitarist and founding member Mick Jones summed it up best: “It had to be right, and I really believe that Mutt Lange, Lou, Rick, Dennis and I achieved something very special”.
