The Council of Ministers adopted a draft Decree of the Council of Ministers to approve additional expenditures in the amount of 34 million leva under the budget of the Ministry of Culture for 2025 for financing state cultural institutes operating in the field of performing arts in accordance with the Methodology (formulas) for the distribution of funds under Art. 23a, para. 1, item 1 of the Law on the Protection and Development of Culture.
The provision of additional funds will allow the continuation of the mechanism of financing the state cultural institutes operating in the field of performing arts in order to fulfill their main task of creating and distributing performing arts to an increasingly large audience.
The distribution of funds for each of the state cultural institutes in the field of performing arts will be carried out by recalculating in accordance with the Methodology. In this way, the costs of carrying out activities on tour in the country and abroad, as well as other expenses, will be provided.
The effect of providing additional expenses is related to creating better conditions for fulfilling the main task of state cultural institutes in the field of performing arts - creating and presenting works of theatrical, musical and dance art that educate and form taste in the audience, presenting them with quality classical and new contemporary works, authors and artists.
The additional funds under the budget of the Ministry of Culture for 2025 will be provided at the expense of the planned expenses under the central budget for 2025.
