Singer Michael Jackson has spoken in previously unknown audio recordings about how children fall in love with him, The Guardian reports.

The pop star has said that children's desire to touch and hug him "sometimes got him into trouble."

The words were included in a promotional trailer for the four-part Channel 4 documentary "Trial," produced by British studio Wonderhood Studios.

The film investigates Jackson's acquittal on child sexual abuse charges following his trial in California in 2005.

In another audio recording, Jackson threatens to commit suicide if he is banned from seeing children.

The Wonderhood Studios website says the filmmakers are aiming to move beyond the "media circus" around Jackson's acquittal and to ask “deep questions about fame, race and the American justice system“.

In late 2025, Democrats on the U.S. House Oversight Committee released photos from the Jeffrey Epstein archive, including those of Jackson.

The photos show the singer standing next to Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 on charges of trafficking minors. The businessman had previously pleaded guilty to arranging prostitution and received a light sentence. In August of that year, the financier committed suicide in prison.

Michael Jackson was first accused of child pornography in 1993. He denied all charges, but decided to settle a dispute with a 13-year-old boy, paying his family more than $20 million in compensation. Eleven years later, another child came forward alleging sexual abuse by Jackson, but the court found the musician innocent.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009 at the age of 50 from heart failure. His death was caused by medical error resulting from an overdose of powerful drugs.

A biopic about the singer is currently in development. In the film, titled “Michael“, Michael Jackson will be played by his nephew Jafar Jackson, son of Jackson's older brother and member of The Jackson 5, Jermaine Jackson.
