See interesting details from the life of the first lady of popfolk

"The mother of popfolk" Toni Dacheva turns 59 today.

Born with music in her blood

Toni Dacheva, born Tonka Dacheva Dacheva, was born in 1967 in the village of Blatets, Sliven region, into a family with deep musical traditions. Her mother is a singer, and her father is an accordionist, which naturally predetermined her path to music. Her childhood was spent in the town of Sungurlare, where she took her first steps in music.

At the age of just seven, Toni recorded her first song &ndquo; “Yanka went, went to that green forest“. Already in the fifth grade, she became a soloist in the amateur ensemble of the local community center. Although she never attended professional music lessons, her talent and quick perception of melodies made her one of the most promising young performers in the region.

The beginning of a stellar career

At 16-17 years old, Dacheva began singing with the local group “Bacchus“, composed of amateur musicians, performing concerts at various events. After graduating from high school, she worked for a short time as a secretary at the community center in Sungurlare, but felt that her true calling was music.

The turning point in her career came on November 25, 1987, when she met the leader of the “Kristal“ orchestra, Krasimir Hristov. During the audition, Toni performed songs from the repertoire of Silvia Katsarova and Kichka Bodurova and impressed the musicians. Thus began her long-term collaboration with the “Crystal“ orchestra, which brought her her first major successes.

From the “Crystal“ orchestra to a solo career

Toni Dacheva's debut album was recorded in 1991 with the participation of the “Crystal“ orchestra. In the following years, they created a series of successful albums, including two duet projects with Mustafa Chaushev and the duet “Shans“. One of the most memorable songs from this period is “Chocolates, Candies“, which became a real hit in the 90s.

In 1998, Dacheva decided to leave the orchestra and pursue a solo career. Despite this, she continues to record successful duets and work with established names in the music industry.

Partnership and personal life

In 1997, Toni met the popular artist Naiden Milkov. The two not only shared their lives together for 11 years, but also created four duet albums and performed dozens of concerts. In 2008, however, their paths diverged both professionally and personally.

In 2014, Toni Dacheva adopted her daughter Victoria - an event that she describes as one of the most significant and beautiful in her life.

Even after decades on stage, Toni Dacheva does not cease to be a part of the musical life in Bulgaria. In 2015, she joined Mustafa Chaushev's anniversary concerts, with whom she remains close both professionally and as a friend.

Today, at 58 years old, Dacheva continues to be a symbol of enduring success and an inspiration for many young performers. She not only leaves a mark in the history of Bulgarian pop-folk, but also proves that true talent and love for music can overcome any challenge.
