Today, February 18, the famous Bulgarian director and producer Magardich "Maggie" Halvadzhiyan celebrates his 58th birthday. Born in 1967 in Pleven, Maggie is of Armenian origin and has played a key role in the development of the Bulgarian television and film industry.
From an early age, Maggie's life has been filled with diverse experiences. He lived in Varna, various Italian cities and Moscow, where between 1981 and 1986 he studied at a circus school. After returning to Bulgaria, he graduated from directing at the New Bulgarian University. In his youth, he was part of a musical group, which further enriched his creative path.
In 1996, Maggie founded "Max Group – 1", producing shows such as "Point of Intersection" and "Fatal Attraction". In 2002, he founded the production companies "Global Films" and "Global Frame", united under the name "Global Group". Under his leadership, some of the most popular television shows in Bulgaria were created, including "Sweet Revenge", "Sea of Love", "Lords of the Air" and "Like Two Drops of Water".
Magi Halvadjian is known not only for his professional successes, but also for his active civic position. He often expresses his opinion on public issues and supports various charitable causes. In 2024, on his birthday, Magi organized a charity edition of "Like Two Drops of Water" in support of children and families who are victims of violence, together with UNICEF.
Magi's personal life is also filled with joyful moments. He is married to Kremena Halvadjian, with whom he shares a long-standing relationship. The two have a son - Bedros Halvadjian, who is also part of the family business and actively participates in production activities.
