Psychiatrist: Those who have regular sex quit smoking after a month of abstinence

Sooner or later, stress hits us if we stop making out, emphasizes Carmita Abdo

All people sooner or later start to experience stress due to lack of sex, says psychiatrist Carmita Abdo, writes O Globo.

As Abdo explained, how long after giving up sex a person will not experience mental health problems depends on their sexual habits. So, according to her, if the sexual life was active and included at least three contacts a week, then only after a month of abstinence a person will show the first signs of severe stress.

If a person had sex no more than once every two weeks, then his emotional and physical well-being may not deteriorate for several months.

Among the negative consequences of abstaining from sexual activity, the psychiatrist pointed out a feeling of loneliness, increased anxiety and an uncontrollable desire for intimacy.
