This is a microscopic part of the things that are written about me. Of course, some of you will feel uncomfortable when you read them; others will be disgusted, others — maybe — will be sad, and still others will be genuinely happy. That's right. I have long accepted that all this is part of what is happening to me, and I have tried, as far as I can, to protect my loved ones. To what extent have I succeeded — I don't know, but I know that this is part of the Bulgarian public space.

There are countries where it's not like that. There are no yellow websites and yellow newspapers there — not because there's no one to write them, but because there's no one to read them. For example, it's like that in Switzerland.

Well, for better or worse, it's not like that in Bulgaria.

And now I'll tell you something: for some people who didn't understand in today's emotional chatter, I'll say the following — as far as it depends on me, I will do everything possible so that such fabrications, abominations and outright vulgarities can continue to exist. Because that's how we in Bulgaria understand freedom of speech.

I'll be even more direct and I'll address a part of the so-called Bulgarian establishment. I know you hate me. And I will always, as far as it depends on me, do everything I can to make sure you can freely express your hatred. Why? Because it energizes me and makes me happy. And I'm not kidding.
